THE POMERANIAN CLUB OPEN SHOW NOVEMBER 2022
I would like to thank the officers and committee for inviting me to judge their Club open show. I had a great day with many exhibitors in attendance and I thank them all for the support on the day creating a great atmosphere with fabulous ringside applause for my winners. My summary on the breed is movement in general was very good, coats on the whole were good with only a few soft coats in some adults, my main concern are many Poms were longer in body and were not compact in frame, many weighed the same but size was not consistent, the larger Poms seemed to be lacking in body and substance, yet the smaller framed Poms had more body, some exhibits had incorrect head proportions concerning muzzle length being both too long or too short spoiling the overall balance of the head and ruining the Pom expression. Having said this, I was spoilt for choice for my top placings as there were many extremely beautiful correct examples of our breed.
