Pomeranian Club Contest of Winners 2022
A lovely entry of 60 Adults, Puppies, & Special Beginners waiting for me to judge in this exciting contest, staged after the club open show. Beautifully organised and managed, with fabulous trophies, prizes and rosettes to be won. I thought the idea of the coloured balls selected by the exhibitors to determine who they would meet in the next round was so innovative, and very fair.
Adults first, and some lovely winners from the past year to evaluate. Obviously some were not in full coat, but just about every dog present, showed themselves off so well. Maybe some mouths were not up to scratch, and muscle tone sadly missing on the majority, but I thought the final four were so alike for form and type, and I was very impressed. Special Beginners, a class of about 10, which were placed one to four, also turned up some promising exhibits, well handled to get the best out of them. Babies next, with some who had qualified very early in the year having the advantage in development over the 6-7 month olds. Still, very nice to see some future stars.
My thanks to the committee and officers of the Pom Club, for a lovely afternoon judging, and for looking after me so well.
